  • A Photographer's Travels!!

For years my Mom made us kids write journals of our trips, and yes I have to say that most of the time I was MADE to write those priceless journals, which of course now I treasure!! So being a photographer now and heading on an extended trip to the states....well my camera and pictures have taken the place of my quill & ink (pen)!! When we started off on this trip I looked for pictures that would describe the trip, pictures that told stories better then I could put onto paper. And I believe I almost accomplished that goal (always room for improvement ya know).
Getting started with the trip...I traveled down to Jevenn's ALERT Graduation (general purpose for the trip) with my parents in our awesome and very comfy motorhome. We visited friends and new people along the way, and had an incredible family "reunion" at ALERT, as my two sisters flew in to be at the Graduation.
We spent some quality family time down in Houston over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Between walking the beaches and visiting friends the week flew back, and then it was time to drop the girls off at their different airports and head home.

Okay I know that this pretty much says nothing about our awesome trip down to Houston...but then that's was the pictures are for.

Hope you all enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them the editing them!!!

  • Harvey Family - Family Photo Session

The Harvey family photo session was an incredible time.  We spent some time capturing just family pictures, and then I had a blast taking pictures of the kids as they climbed/slid/jumped around the playground.  Capturing moments while the kids are natural and having fun is something I always enjoy doing, because the kids don't look stiff or un-natural, and taking pictures while an awesome playground is only a short skip away is like torture to kids!!

It was yet another fun photo shoot.  I especially enjoyed getting to meet the youngest member of the family.  She had quite the talent in posing for the camera, and even was quite skilled in assisting me in posing her older brother!!

Below is just one picture from the days family photo shoot.  Hope you enjoy.

  • Winters Family - Family Photo Session

The Winters were a really fun family to take pictures of.  The littlest member of the family, Levi, really made my day.  He was a little shy at first, but after some wild fun in a pile of Fall leaves he warmed right up to the idea of having his picture taken.  Then the rest of the photo shoot was a blast, and we all had a really fun time, along with many good laughs.

The Alberta Fall colors were incredible, and they made for a perfect background to this families family pictures.  It was a fun photo shoot, and I can't wait to take more pictures of this family, especially Levi, as the years go on.  Below is a taste of the exciting photo session that we had.

  • Gary and Tammy's Wedding Pictures - Wedding Photo Session

Here was a wedding that for one was my very first wedding to do completely solo, and also was my first wedding to do not only taking wedding pictures of a couple, but pictures of the wedding couple and their kids!!  It created a little more of a challenge for me, which I thoroughly enjoyed

After the wedding I did some evening (after sun set) photos of the couple on an old train bridge.  I had a blast figure ways to pose them with only myself to hold my reflector in one hand and my camera in my other hand!!  It was a good wedding, and I really enjoyed working with Gary & Tammy who made the photo session go so easily and smoothly.

Here's my favourite shot from the evening photo shoot in the bridge.  I totally love the effect that spotlight behind the wedding couple create.

  • Trimble Family - Family Photo Session

A week ago I had a blast taking the Trimble Family pictures.  They had an incredible backyard that gave me a ton of options for photo of the family!  Here is one of my favorite pictures from the evenings photo shoot.
